ServiceNow Catalog UI policy action clear values box is BAD
(note this is an old post and may well have been fixed since!)
results in the variables being blanked if you add the item to the cart and check it out later!
see my article "Known issue - clear variable value on ui policy action not working" for a workaround script for hidden fields populating to the RITM, referred the issue to ServiceNow on Hi (Oct2020)
