Make an order guide searchable in service portal

Scratching my head on a wet July morning 💧...why can't my itil colleague access the order guide after adding her to the user criteria group referenced?? 😖

after having exhausted other possibilities (making sure user criteria are applied to the bundled items as well as the order guide itself, making sure all items are updated from availability=desktop to availability=all...)
I finally discovered this was the main issue:

  • Updated sys property
    • Old value: sc_cat_item_guide,sc_cat_item_producer,sc_cat_item_wizard
    • New value:  sc_cat_item_producer,sc_cat_item_wizard
